I’m Mosezella
As the Founder and CEO of ByMosezella Design Inc., I bring over 7 years of experience in the field of fashion design. My journey began as a professional seamstress, where I utilized imagery and effective communication to help individuals feel and look their best. As a mother of three daughters, I had the privilege of creating their own unique styles and branding, which further developed my skills as a stylist-designer.
I am proud to be a published author of the book ‘Nala Sky My Siberian Husky’ and have dedicated my time to volunteering with organizations such as Hands of Hope Community Development, Okeechobee Girls Academy, and the 1000 Black Girls Book Program at Blake Library. Through these experiences, I have strategically worked with children, imparting upon them the fundamental principles of love and responsibility.
Now, as a driven ‘Boss Lady’, I am committed to utilizing my talents and gifts to help individuals not only love themselves, but also express their true selves through fashion. I am an active member of esteemed organizations such as NAACP, Florida Restoration of Rights Coalition (FRRC), and Black Achievement Fund (BAF).
As an honors graduate and alumnus of Indian River State College, I have received recognition for my achievements, including the prestigious ‘Live Your Dream Awards – Women of Opportunity’ certificate from The Soroptimist International of the Americas in 2004.

The History of Sewing & Sewing Machines
The History of sewing and sewing machines, began with the 18th century inventors who tried to make machines that would imitate the movements of a sewer’s fingers. The fundamental issues that needed to be solved were: The machines could not sew a seam more than a few inches without readjusting the cloth; and could sew only straight seams of limited length.
It was the creativity of Mr. Isaac M. Singer who invented the first sewing machine with an overhanging arm, making it possible to sew on any part of the garment. He also patented the foot treadle and the spring-equipped presser foot for holding down the fabric while sewing. In 1856 James Gibbs invented the chain stitch machine, in which the loop of each stitch passes through and secures the loop of the previous stitch (https://kids.britannica.com/students/article/sewing).

With the precision of a sewing machine and the finesse of basic hand-sewing stitches like the backstitch, running stitch, basting stitch, slip stitch, hemming or whipping stitch, overcast stitch, catch stitch, hand chain stitch, and invisible or blind stitch, I am able to achieve impeccable finishings. Whether it’s securing hems, attaching flaps, linings, or pockets, I ensure every detail is flawlessly executed. In addition, I utilize embroidery and hand chain stitch techniques to create long-lasting blankets and clothing that offer both style and comfort.
